Knitting Sustainability into Every Stitch
At Cityscape Knits, I believe in creating beautiful knitwear that's kind to the planet. I’m passionate about the slow fashion movement, and I’m committed to minimizing my environmental impact. From the yarn I use, to the way I ship, sustainability is woven into every step of my process. Here's how I’m helping you to "Stay Warm, Look Good, Do Good"!
Sustainable Yarns for Happy Sheep and a Healthy Planet
We know happy sheep make the best wool! That's why I only source high-quality yarns from companies dedicated to ethical and sustainable practices. This means no mulesing (a harmful practice) and the use of Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified dyes, ensuring they're safe for you and the environment. Plus, my wool comes from Peru and Uruguay, where these practices are the norm. Â
Eco-Friendly Packaging with a Local TouchÂ
I believe in nurturing a healthy planet, and that includes supporting other small businesses with a focus on sustainability. Every order ships in a 100% recycled and recyclable poly mailer from EcoEnclose, a fantastic Colorado company specializing in eco-friendly shipping materials. It's a win-win for the environment and our local community!
Carbon-Neutral Shipping: Leaving a Lighter Footprint
I don't stop at packaging! I’m committed to carbon-neutral shipping. This means for every order placed, I invest a portion towards innovative companies actively removing carbon dioxide from the air. It's a small step, but together, we can make a big difference.
