About Me

Hello!

I'm Liz, the creator behind Cityscape Knits. As a former elementary school principal, I learned to knit more than 14 years ago from a fabulous 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Norris, in an after-school knitting club she hosted each year for her students. The kids thought it was hilarious that the principal was learning alongside them but I became hooked the minute I started! I scoured YouTube for lessons, checked out as many books as I could from the local library, and even tuned into Knitting Daily on my local PBS channel until I was knitting socks, sweaters, scarves, and hats for family with ease. Then, when the pandemic hit and I was spending even more time knitting at home, I realized I may be able to turn my passion into a business.

As a long-time resident of Denver, I've always loved the city's energy and vibrancy. I wanted to create something that reflected that spirit, something warm and beautiful, just like the Colorado sunsets. Sustainable, high-quality wool yarns seemed like the perfect fit--keeping you toasty in winter while making a smaller footprint on the world.

Fast forward, and Cityscape Knits is finally here! It's been a journey since those first days, and I'm thrilled to share it with you. Thanks for stopping by, and a huge thank you for your support!
